Question:

My question is that I am waiting for a final discharge from the trustees. I have an absolute discharge that I got in August in 2005. I called the trustees to find out how long before my case is closed from the trustees and she told me that she is busy and will get to it when she has the time. In the meantime the trustee is getting all funds from Revenue Canada and I want it to stop but my hands are tied. How long after your absolute discharge do the trustees have to give me a dicharge from them? Thank you for your time.

Answer:

Your trustee should be returning the cheques to you if you have received your absolute discharge. If you have a problem with your trustee you should consider contacting the local Official Receiver from Industry Canada who regulates trustees.
