Question:

My boyfriend and I have been living together since about Sept 1st of this year and we are expecting a baby in February. I am going through a divorce and expect to receive about $100,000 in settlement. My boyfriend has never filed his taxes... and is going to be claiming bankruptcy. He says I should get my own place when able so we are not common-law, or they will come after me for re-payment of his debt. Is this true in any way?
