Question:

My spouse is considering bankruptcy due to a debt incurred by him and his previous partner. I am not a party to that debt. Can any restrictions or obligations be placed on my financial affairs by the trustee?

Answer:

If you have nothing to do with the debts and have no joint assets, your husband's bankruptcy does not need to affect you.
