The answer to your question is yes and no. Typically credit rating agencies keep record of your bankruptcy for 6 years after your discharge and then it disappears. On the other hand, if you are ever asked if you have been bankrupt, the answer would be yes.
Most individuals have no problem re-establishing their credit rating over time after bankruptcy.
