Question:

what are the legal powers of the trustee? can i choose not to divulge information? does the trustee have the power to search registry records or banking records?

Answer:

A Trustee is provided with many powers under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and these powers can go back 5 years in some cases. Searches are part of the normal bankruptcy admdinistration. If you do not divulge information, ofentimes it comes from creditors in any respect.
