I understand that Alger gives a free consultation, after that how much does it cost to go bankrupt and when is it paid?

Answer:

 

We provide the time necessary to gather your information and provide you with your options on how to deal with your financial situation. Our fees vary depending on the process you choose and whether or not you have filed a previous bankruptcy. We set up monthly payments for fees and the first payment may be due at signing or within 30 days or signing. If we assume you have no surplus and have not been bankrupt before the fee would be $215 for 8 months, a total of $1720.00.
